B.U.I.L.D. Documentary

B.U.I.L.D. Staten Island is a Youthbuild USA Modeled program that provides a pathway for unemployed, out-of-work youth between the ages of 16 to 24, an opportunity to reclaim their education, gain the skills they need for employment, and become leaders in rebuilding and shaping their communities.

The Historic Tappen Park Community Partnership’s B.U.I.L.D. program is the FIRST YouthBuild Program on Staten Island. Projectivity was involved teaching media and filmmaking to some of the students. We documented the group’s progress, accomplishments, and hardships over 3 years, 2016-2018. This documentary provides and in depth look at the program, the students that participate, and the overall outcome out B.U.I.L.D. program on Staten Island.
